The moa :

The moa was a huge ostrich - like bird that used to live in New Zealand. Like the elephant bird, it couldn't fly - it didn't even have a trace of any  wings. But it had very strong legs, ending in four toes. When the first settlers came to New Zealand they found the moa  good to eat and easy to hunt So the moa ended up just like the  elephant bird - extinct.

The tasmanian wolf :

They were about one meter long. They lived in dens and hollow logs in the forest. They hunted during the nights. They ate kangaroos small birds and animals. People hunted them mainly because they sometimes killed sheep and chickens. They are now extinct.
