The Addax:

The Addax lives in the sandy deserts of the Sahara in Africa. It can live in the parts of the deserts where even a camel cannot live. an Addax can stay without drinking water for weeks or even months. It gets all the water it needs from the plants it eats.

The Addax belongs to the antelope family. It changes color according to the seasons. In winter it's coat is grayish -  brown and in summer it's coat is milky white. It is about a meter high and it's curly horns are more than a meter long. It has a short tail which looks like a small rope. It eats small plants and grass in the desert.

It is in danger mainly because of hunting by the people in the desert. Only a few thousand addax are still alive.
